Oldest Car in the World on Auction

The oldest running vehicle in the world, a steam powered car built in France, is going on sale this August (the 19th) at Pebble Beach, CA. The car runs on coal, wood, and bits of paper, according to David Gooding, founder of the Gooding & Company auction group. Top speed is around 38 miles per hour, which Mr. Gooding says “feels like going 80 or 90 miles per hour in a newer automobile. And, by newer, I mean 1910.” The De Dion-Bouton et Trepardoux has only had two owners since it was built. The car’s value is estimated at $1.5 million to $2 million. Andreas hatte es ja schon richtig erkannt: es handelt sich um einen 1957er Chevrolet Bel Air, gesehen vor 10 Tagen in Maxlrain.
Chapeau, Andreas.
Zugegeben, die Felgen und das tiefergelegte Fahrwerk sind nicht so ganz mein Fall, aber es paÃŸt trotzdem irgendwie zu dem Wagen.
